As believers, God has given us a huge responsibility and that responsibility is to guard our mind, ear gate, eye gate, and our heart gate. The mind is to be guarded because the mind is satan's battleground. He gains access to the mind through what you hear and what you see. The mind has a way of taking what the ear gate or eye gate has entertained and will magnify it in explosive ways till it will take you on the ride of your life. You literally will have to pump the brakes on the vehicle of your mind because if you don't you will lose control of your mind.
So God gives you and I the responsibility to guard our minds by carefully screening, filtering what we allow to enter our minds by what our ear and eye gate entertain.
